FEP/PFA encapsulated O-Rings
Soetanto® FEP/PFA-O-Rings and Seals, teflon encapsulated silicone, fluorelastomer and EPDM, were primarily designed to solve the growing problems of sealing corrosive fluids in industry. FEP/PFA O-Rings combines the best qualities of two materials, teflon on the outside with its chemical inertness and an elastomer on the inside for resilience, to form a superior seal.


 

  
Soetanto® FEP/PFA-O-Rings are available in over 30 different cross-section sizes from .059” (1.5 mm) to 11/4” (31.75 mm). The standard O-Ring come with FEP teflon over silicone, fluorelastomer or EPDM, and are recommended for applications with temperatures below 350°F (177°C).

For high temperature applications to 500°F (260°C), we made PFA teflon over silicone or fluorelastomer. PFA teflon has higher mechanical strength than FEP or TFE at elevated temperatures and has excellent crack and stress resistance. SQUARE cross-section FEP/PFA Ring Seals are used in numerous applications where a larger sealing surface is needed to effect a more positive seal, Square Ring Seals require less squeeze than O-Rings for sealing and use the same groove size.
